God's Glory Globally through Long-term Legacy Locally
We serve a GREAT GOD that is deserving of Glory not only locally, but in ALL THE WORLD! From the creation of man to the coming of the Kingdom of Heaven, God makes it very clear in the bible that our purpose is to glorify Him in all ALL THE WORLD and the vehicle he chooses to do that through is the local church, the local body of Christ.Abilene, Texas

Serving, equipping, and empowering the ministry of the World’s Backyard by sponsoring, shepherding, and encouraging this student led ministry to pursue the LORD and refugee children in Abilene with all their heart, mind, and strength.
In 2009, God showed the Boone brothers a great need in their hometown of Abilene, Texas. Through their sister they learned there was a large population of refugee families from all over the world that had been relocated to Abilene. The children were in a new culture learning a new language and had no community whatsoever. They often sat alone at school and some could be found playing in the dumpster at their homes.
Moved by the love and compassion of Jesus Christ, Jason and Bradyn reached out to the children. They didn’t have much to offer them and couldn’t speak their language, but all kids speak the language of play. With nothing but a soccer ball and the power of the gospel the Boone brothers went and asked the kids to play. One by one the kids came out and would start to play. No fancy words were spoken. They just played, smiled, and laughed and began to ask about their lives. The brothers told them to tell their friends and that they would be back next week. The first week there were 7 kids the third week there were 15 and the next there were over 20. The Boone brothers realized they were going to need help and started asking their friends to come help. God took two brothers with a soccer ball and turned it into something awe inspiring. By the end of the first year there were over 100 kids from all over the world and about 30 university students that came every week to play soccer, football, tennis, volleyball, cheer lead, and all sorts of fun games. Every week the student leaders would share the gospel with the kids by their actions and would sit down and share the gospel with the Word of God. It became known as the World’s Backyard.
5 years later the World’s Backyard is still student led and there are well over 150 refugee and local kids that every week come together with 60 university student leaders to play, build relationships, and learn about the gospel of Christ. Oh how Great is our God!
Looking back, we believe the World’s Backyard was Pro2G before we knew who we were. It is already glorifying God globally through the global audience of children it disciples. We feel a responsibility to the long-term legacy locally of the ministry, and that is why we are resubmitting ourselves under the leadership of the ministry to serve them in any way we can.
